In 2018, the landscape of experiential marketing shifted. While many festivals were still operating on the "booth and banner" model, Hypefest arrived at the Brooklyn Navy Yard with a different vision: a total campus takeover.
Long before immersive became an industry buzzword, Hypefest was the first cultural festival of its scale to fully activate the Duggal Greenhouse campus. By spanning both the Greenhouse and the Brooklyn Fish Transfer, the event didn't just host brands—it built a multi-dimensional ecosystem that paved the way for the experiential culture we see today.
A takeover of this magnitude required more than just floor space; it required massive structural innovation. Duggal Visual Solutions was at the heart of this transformation, constructing the massive two-level metal structure that defined the main floor of both the Greenhouse and the Brooklyn Fish Transfer.
With soaring multi-brand installations and custom-build environments, two raw industrial spaces became a high-design reality. The engineered environments were intentional statements that commanded the room, creating a collective impact for a global audience.
Hypefest solidified the Duggal Greenhouse campus as the cultural hub it was always intended to be. It proved that when you bridge the gap between architectural scale and creative production, you create a destination that resonates far beyond the event dates.
As we look toward the future, Hypefest remains the blueprint for what is possible when the Duggal Greenhouse and the Brooklyn Fish Transfer work in tandem. Stay tuned—we are just getting started on redefining the event-destination campus.
